Hi, I’m Kate. The van and I come as a set.

Solo mobile groomer, modern day pirate. I sail driveway to driveway in a leopard-spotted van, relieve your dog of its mats and mysteries, and leave it smelling of lavender and good decisions.

Woman-owned · AuDHD · Solopreneur — solo groomer, professional floof-wrangler, Broomfield, CO.

I’m one woman, one leopard van, and your friendly neighborhood groomer — I go slow, I ease the nerves, and I have a special soft spot for the elder statesmen. If your dog comes with extra wiggles and a few nerves, congratulations: you’ve found their person.

THE PORTRAIT THING

Okay, so there's a portrait thing. It started as a nice little extra and has since become a whole situation — the good kind.

Every groomed dog gets custom Magnolia portraits — a soft watercolor-style portrait with my signature pink, teal, and purple spots, starring your freshly floofed dog looking like the cover model they always knew they were. Through October 31, every groom includes two portraits free — the classic close-up plus a full-body Halloween portrait. Starting November 1, portraits are a $20 add-on, made on request.

Here's the part nobody planned: the portraits became the review engine. Clients post them, the portraits collect five-star reviews like it's their job, neighbours ask 'wait, who groomed your dog and why does she look like art?' — and the appointment book fills. I came for the grooming. The dogs' modelling careers are simply a bonus I now have to manage.

The deal, plainly: two portraits (close-up + full-body Halloween) free with every groom through Oct 31. From Nov 1, they're $20, on request. Your dog's influencer era has a deadline.

Solo groomer — always me · One-on-one, always · No caging, ever · PACFA-licensed · Fearful-dog friendly

Every groom ★ two free portraits through Oct 31 — close-up + full-body Halloween — yes, really

THE SHORT VERSION

The whole Magnolia philosophy, in four bites — for the humans whose dogs are already doing the 'someone said walk' head tilt and won't let them read a long page.

Gentle by design

Low-stress, fear-free handling is the whole business model, not a marketing garnish. The groom moves at the dog's pace — breaks, treats, and deep breaths included, no extra charge for any of it.

One dog at a time

No cages, no hand-offs, no assembly line. Your dog is the only appointment in the van, and it's the same groomer — me — every single visit. Familiar face, familiar routine, dramatically less drama.

Mobile on purpose

Your driveway is the salon, so nervous pups skip the scary field trip entirely. No strange building, no lobby full of barking strangers — just a short walk to a van that smells like lavender.

Honest to a fault

If a dog needs more than one groomer can safely give, I say so — kindly, and up front. I don't take outright aggressive dogs, because forcing a groom nobody can do safely helps exactly no one, least of all the dog.

HOW MAGNOLIA HAPPENED

Magnolia is a quirky, neurodivergent, woman-owned business in Broomfield, Colorado, built around one stubborn belief: grooming should never be the scariest day of a dog's month. I spent long enough watching gentle dogs get rushed through loud, crowded salons — trembling in cages, handed off to strangers, speed-run through a bath like they were on a game show — before deciding the whole setup was backwards. So I built the opposite.

The opposite turned out to be a fully equipped spa on wheels. The van carries its own water and power, its own tub, table, dryers, and a frankly unreasonable collection of bandanas. It parks in your driveway, plugs into nothing, and turns 'groom day' into 'the nice lady with the treats is here again' — which, for a nervous dog, is a plot twist that changes everything.

And because Magnolia is exactly one person, I groom every single dog myself, start to finish — the bath, the cut, the nail trim, the pep talks. No rotating cast, no mystery groomer, no 'who did this to my dog's bangs?' Your pup gets one human they can actually learn to trust, and that human gets to know every quirk, mat, and dramatic sigh by heart.

Why Magnolia? For my Mom, Margaret — and the Southern roots I grew from. A magnolia is soft-looking blossom over steel. Seemed right.

TREAT & GREET · $40

$40 Treat & Greet — the no-pressure first date. Not sure your pup is ready for a full groom? Start with a visit where absolutely nothing happens — gloriously. Your dog sniffs the van top to bottom, meets me, and eats treats like it's a job with benefits. Zero grooming, zero tools, zero “gotcha.” Just a fearful pup learning that the pink van is a snack dispenser with excellent vibes. It works, too: Treat & Greet pups have already converted into happy regulars who now trot out to the van like they own stock in it.

THE HOME CREW

My own five dogs — because of course I have five. Bane, Hollywood, Birdie, Pearl & Dagny run quality control at home: the chaos, the shedding, the 3 AM zoomies, the love. I don't just understand your multi-dog situation professionally. I live it.
